Finished up the paint prep on the two forward fuse side panels today. Used MEtal Galze to contour the fiberglass and blend it to the .020" alum. Then applied several coats of Smooth Prime to fill any remaining pinholes. Sanded that w/ 150 grit. Then scotchbrited the alum panels, cleaned everything with acetone, and shott a couple of coats of SW 988 rattle can primer. After the primer was applies I see the need for some touch up on the pilot panel. I'll let everything dry well over night and then touch up the one panel and then prep the surfaces for the interior paint.
