Brief Description:  Sec Final-17

With the control arm on the Ram air fixed, it's time to move on to connecting the canister with the cowl ring. I finally settled on using the neoprene that came with the James cowl. Aftre measureing the distance ebtween the induction ring and the canister. I cut a strip of neoprene, and using the Aquaseal glue that was supplied, I clued a cylinder just slightly unbdersized from the ring diamenter, I used a expansion clamp to secure it to the cowl ring, then folded it insdie the ring and mounted the cowl. After the cowl was mounted it was pretty easy to unfold the neoprene ring anount the canister valve. I remounted the plenum, and then made neoprene cylinders for each on the inlet rings, and attached them to the plenum in the same way as the induction ring. Gluing the neoprene is pretty straight forward and the glue seems to be very strong. I need to pick up a slightly larger expansion clamp to finish off the pilot side. I noticed that I had some interferrance with the prop governor control and the plenum side, which prevented the control from reaching the stop, when the prop control was pulled all the way out. I replaces several of the washers with thin washers and it seems to have done the trick. I also worked a bit more on the exhaust hanger brackets, I found I has some 'narrow' #10 nutplates that I could mount to the bracket, and then I can use an AN4-4A bolt to hold the hanger strap. Finished one, do the other one tomorrow.
