Brief Description:  Sec Final-12

I finished install of the blast tube for the right mag, same as the left. John Cox, gave me an idea, which was to fab a fan shaaped 'nozzel' out of some 5/8" alum or brass, and clamp that on the end of the blast tube, carefully constructed it would provide a fan effect to a broader area of the magneto. Thanks John! Last couple of days have been spent replacing the plastic brake lines wih some braided stainless steel teflon coated lines from Bonaco. I've been dreading this because it meant many hours upside down under the instrument panel and several trips into and out of the cockpit! I used weedwacker line to measure the lengths, and in hindsight I would have used something LESS flexible, the brake lines don't bend to as small a radius as the weedwacker and it throws off some of the measurements. I drained all of the brake fluid from the system. then tackled the right side (which connects to the reserviour). I had to replace the 90 degree fittings that came with the lines with straight AN fittings in order ot get the best fit. I was able to use couple of the 1" lightening holes in the rudder support bracket and put a rubber gommet on each line that connects to the left side. Moved on to the left side, where I used a combo of straight and 90 degree fittings. Also replaced the fittings in the Matco to smaller -3's. Iwill probably do some adjusting on the placement on the left side as the lines are sill more visible than I would like. Last I replcaed the alum lines from the fuse to the brake itself. the lines in the tunnel were left alum tubing.
