Brief Description:  Sec Final-9

Yesterday and today's log. IYesterday I removed the damaged fuel line, and began to remake it's replacement, it tooke 3 attempts, and luckly a hangar neighbor Mickey Billings had some 3/8" alum tubing for the 3rd attempt. I was really careful to not get any tool marks and kinks into this one. I got it reinserted (at least half of the problem) into the tunnel and a new rubbber grommet to cushion it where it exits the rib. I got the adel clamp on it and called it a day yesterday. Today, I took some fine emery cloth and some scotch brite pads and went after any scratch or tool mark I could find to clean up all of the lines in the tunnel I think I can rest easy now. I received an updated Version of Rob Bowers Ram Air canister. I saw this @ OSH this year where he won a Lindy with his fantastic RV-8. This design is EVEN BETTER than the previous one, Others that have added it are recording anywhere to 1" to 1 1/2" increase in MP with the Ram air open. IT basically bolted on right in place of the previous fiberglass canister. I had to loosen a couple of adel clamps and readjust the control cable linkage but it's 'installed'. i haven't fit the cowl (need extra hands) yet but some rough measurements seem to indicate that it won't be a problem. I also fabbed the 2nd fiberglass reducer coupling to take the 2" rear reat heater SCAT tube down to 1" where it passes between the fuel lines.
