A bunch of odds and ends today just trying to get everythign ready for paint pick up (hopefully Monday). I mounted the seat rails for the pilot seat, so I could install the seat and check the placement of the rudder pedals. It looks like they will work fine as installed, with the seat adjusted with me in it and feet on the pedals, I'm 1 notch back from midway, it will work just fine for me, but if someone with really long legs wanted to fly the plane they might run out of seat movement. I did find a gotcha, Rodger from AUS e-mailed me last night and had noticed I was missing the mid seat rail supports on the outboard sides. I entirely overlooked this! and I've mounted some relays in this position, so it looks like I've got a bit of re-work !!!!. I trimmed the battery hold down bracket so that I can charge the batteries without removing the bracket (had some interferrence prior). removed the aft bulkheads and side panels so I can paint them, removed all antenna's, ans well as the VS and rudder. I reinstalled the lower and upper cowl, it had been quite awhile since I've done this, but they went on without a hitch. Taped some dishcloths around the control grips to minimize any scratching. Mounted the Inertial seatbelts w/ bushings, so that the screws get painted.
