I Finished off the Oxygen install by covering the Overhead Closeout panel in matching leather. I wanted some experience in gluing the leather before attempting to do the door upholstery panels, And this was a good place to try it. I used Pliobond contact cement to glue everything, By wrapping the leather around the edge of the close-out it serves as an air seal (at least I hope so!...) I mounted everything usine some Stainless steel screws. I turned out pretty good, and gives the overhead a finished look finally. I also removed one of the eyeball LED lights. to replace the LED with a higher intensity bulb. I spoke w/ Ed Hayden on how he did his, and basically, he just drilled out the old LED using drill bits, I did the same, and then punched to old LED out using a punch. I made a trip to Fry's to buy some high intensity LEDS for replacement, but they were all sold out of the one's I want, so it looks like I'l have to get them on-line. During the conversation w/ Ed I think he finally convinced me to use the McMaster Carr edge/moulding trim for the door seal. So I ordered 50 feet and will try it on one of the doors to see if I can make it work. Ed's pretty particular and he's thrilled with the way his doors turned out using this approach. Good news, i spoke with my painter tonight, and he think he'll be ready to pick up my plane for paint in about 3 weeks!!!!!
