Trying to finish up the electrical/wiring. !st task today was to finish wiring the Flap motor & positioning system. When I initially installed the motor and FPS I tested it and put some pigtail leads exiting the tunnel near the FPS. I forgot to add an extra 12V power wire to the Flap switch when building th epanel, so it required another trip under the panel w/ ty wraps , a precrimped ring terminal attached to a 18 awg wire. Then routed the wire through the existing bundle that extends back into the fuse on the right side. Made a quick trip to Ace hdwr to pick up some snap bushings and then temp connected the leads and ran a test to verify direction, (I all works !!!) and then cut the wires to 'final length' and crimped the wires to the pigtails. Secured the bundle to the aft wing spar using the selfadhesive tywrap holders. Next task is toe begin the wiring of the stick grips. I got an relay deck (really compact0 from CH after speaking to Kevin @ OSH this year. they package it in a neat plastic encousure, which I mounted to the left landing geat brace/mount. I drilled holes in the rear of both fixtures that recieve the control sticks and then inserted a snap bushing into each. I needed to figure out how to route the cables from the right stick/grip to the relay deck. A trip to Ace hardware resulted in a 7/16" brass tube fitted with snap bushings superglued to each end. I used a step dril to drill two holes in the tunnel ribs and ran the brass tube between them in a place where there will be no control interference. Epoxied the tube in place.
