Short day today, helping Judy with one of here wedding events. Connected both L & R magnetos and theri respective grounds. I've got them wired to a keyswitch without a start functin on the key switch. i had to remove the oil filter in order to get access to the left mag. then connected the Starter to the Start switch, and the Starter engaged to the LED annunciator. When Pat thysen was out for copperstate he stopped by and gave a few suggestions. One was he found the rod ends which connected the control cables were binding and not completely free. the problem was the placement of the washeres. so I disconnected and reconfigured the washers so that the rod ends swivel freely and have some 'wiggle' I also adjusted the length of each to ensure that they were at the full limits with the controls all the way forward at the firewall. The other tip he had was to fabricate some support straps to use as hangers to support the CHT/EGT probe and sensors harness. I used some .0625" and some Adel clamps and attached then to the # 3, #4, and #5 cly covers screws. Now the harnesses are supported by something other than their attachment points. this completes ALL of the firewall forward/engine compartment wiring!
