The heat finally broke!!!! Halleluja !!! Even if it's only for a day, it never got above 91 today! and the morning was actually 'cool'. I had decided not to put in an ammeter shunt after some dialogue on aeroelectric site, as to the uselessness of the information in diagnosing a problem, But Sun I changed my mind, I have the shunt, and the harness, and even thoug I'll only install it on the primary/main alt/system, at least I'll have some information relative to whether current is being pushed to the alt or not. I also installed the transponder antenna on the belly of the plane. I used a simple pole type. I've had these on previous planes and they worked well. A little less expensive than the 'blade' from Commant. I did a rough measurement of the length to attach to the transponder and installed the BNC fittings on each end of RG400 coas and installed on end on the transp antenna. I also connected the fuel flow sender to the EIU by making the corresponsing Molex connector. I spliced on some 18 ga wire to the Fuel pump leads. then routed all of the wires and antennas to their respective exit points and secured them w/ tywraps as appropriate. I'm looking at the fuel filter access mod, and unfortunately I have the fuel purge line attached right in the middle of where the access panel should open, ..... som emore noodling on that one. once I get the access panel complete I can install lscat tubes for heat, put foam around the fuel lines for insulation and then close up the center tunnel.
