More items preparatory to panel install. 1st off I found, a problem with the wiring for the Pilot and co-pilot Mic and headphones. I had soldered the cable shield to one of the connectors. I originally had been following a schematic from a Micronair installation which was not wise in this case. Additionally I needed to add another wire for Pilot and co-pilot PTT. I also added the markerbeacon antenna to the GMA 340 audion panel. I used some of the RG 58 coax, mounted a couple of high density pins to the center conductor and to the shield and installed them in the 340. I made a trip to the airport/hangar to pick up some of the surplus Pilot GREEN tubing to complete plumbing the pitot/static system. The parts from MSC arrived today. I installed the brass 'instant' fittings on the encoder, ADC, and Dynon D10A . I had some difficulty installing them on the TruTrak A/P. I posted a query to Matronics and received some useful info. The brass fittings were wrapped w/ teflon tape which contributed to making them too large for the TT install. Finally I was able to get them installed without stripping the threads. I bought a new IPOD NANO 8gb, instead of a cd. Wow these things are terrific!. I wired a jack to the co-pilot subpanel using the music cable wired from the GMA 340. We'll have tunes in our ears as we fly!
