I received the custom length control cable from ACS yesterday. And installed it today. I used the one remaining firewall eyeball fitting I had. I fabbed a mounting bracket out of .062: and mounted it using two of the upper engine case bolts. before mounting it I riveted a piece o .062 that I bent 90 deg. to use as a tab to attach the adel clamp. Aligned everything and attached the cable to the fuel purge valve using a Heim rod end and an AN3 bolt and washers. Then torqued the engine bolts (120 in lbs) with the mounting plate attached. Attached a DG6 clamp to the tab/flange and tightened everything up. It's all aligned very well. I needed to secure the 'bend' in the control cable. Used a DG12 attached to a pushrod tube, coupled with a DG4 to secure one end of it and the other end got a DG2 attached to the fuel injector line on cyl #6 , coupled a DG4 to that. This prevents the cable from vibrating and wearing on the fuel line. I sanded and repainted the glareshield as it received some overspray from the cabin cover primer. Then I enlarged the pilot side of the slot for the cabin brace to allow for coax for XM and GPS antennas. I'm burying the coax in the cabin brace. I smoothed the edges with a file and emery cloth threaded 2 lengths of coax through the cabin brace, drilled and mounted two snap bushings in the overhead console to insert the coax for the antennas installed the cabin brace into the glareshield and the cabin cover.
