WOOHOO! I got the reassembled, painted, silkscreened, and cleaned-up panel powered up and went thru an initial test. and everything appears to still work! I thought I had a problem with the dimmer circuit, but it 'corrected' I'm suspicious of the dimmer switch, I'll continue to monitor and possibly switch with one of the unused pots. I plugged in the headset to see if I still had the 'noise' issue which was emenating from the EFIS internal fans. initially I couldn't detect it, and then after sitting with the headsets on for 45 mins I can faintly hear it on the intercom circuit, however it seems to be fainter than I recall originally. I'll have to play with that some more. I received the internal back-up battery from Dynon today and installed it. SWEET! I've got Dual Alts, Dual Batteries and a backup EFIS with its own internal power supply!. I'll connect the Freeflight WAAS GPS tomorrow and test that, while I wait for the XM receiver antenna and connector hardware. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have this ready to go into the aeroplane! I also need to figure out how to connect the Dynon to either the NAV or GPS for HSI/CDI indicator.
