Got the Ram air controls connected. 1st thing was to install an eyeball passthrough fitting in the firewall, fortunately I had an extra. Removed the instrument panel to get access to the inside of the firewall. used the paper template for marking the seven 1/8" holes that needed to be drilled. Used the hole punch that from Harbor Freight to punch the center hole, Access from both sides of the firewall is limited so this took some time. Remounted the instrument panel and connected the Ram air control cable to the bottom of the centerstack and routed the cable through the fitting and then installed the eyeball and secured. Fabbed a mounting plate for a couple of Adel clamps on the lower left side of the cold air plenum. Then the issues was figuring out how to connect to the canister. I reclocked the butterfly valve by rotating it 90 clockwise so that the control arm was on the left side. The distance from the filter/canister to the clamps on the cold air plenum was too great. So I needed to figure a way to attach a bracket to the filter/canister so I could secure the cable near the arm. I used some alum angle & used the two #6 screws and nutplates that hold one of the sides together. I extended the angle aft enough to allow room for an #3 adel clamp and installed same. the control arm came with a cable end 'b' nut fitting which would accept a standard bowden cable wire. but I had this button lock cable left over which had a rod end on the end. I removed the cable end fitting and installed a 1/4" OD - 3/16" ID stainless steel sleeve/bushing in the butterfly arm so I can use an AN3 bolt and the rod end.
