Major progress on the right door jam today. Other than final sanding w/ 320 grit and some touchup in one of the upper corners, it's done ! These door jams are incredible deceiving, I NEVER though they would take as much time as they are. Im sure there must be better way;s of going about this, but with all of the cmopound curves, hand sanding seems to be what works for me. I'm really happy with how they are turning out even if the plane wontl fly 1 kt faster, I'll have the satisfaction in knowing I made it look as good as I knew how. I just hope the painters don't screw it up! Got a good start on the Left door, I had previously applied 1-2 coats of primer with a sponge brush, and i was able to sand off about 80 % of the Left door jam, tomorrow, I'll mask and then spray another coat/coats, Hopefully i can finish off the Left door jam tomorrow, then work on the windscreen fairing on Sat. Coming up on 2000 hours!!! a bit of a milestone.
