Spoke to Scott @ Van's yesterday, they received the engine mount and had determined that it ALREADY had the modification/repositioning appllied to it. They were in the process of welding the new cross member in but it was too late to ship back, So that means it won't arrive until Thurs or Fri of next week. (groan). So today was more preparation of the gear fairings. Sanded the seam that was filled between the two halves and then completely sanded both main gear fairings. Mixed up some SuperFil and squeeged it into as many pinholes and voids as I could see. then set them inside, as it's too cold (48) for them to get a good cure in the garage. Rough trimed the flash off of the leg fairings and then sanded the otherside. Mixed up some epoxy and applied a lay-up of single layer of .003 fiberglass tape on each leg fairing. Put them under the halogen lights for a cure. They will get a sanding and then a coat of SuperFil applied to them, then sanded and then on to Smooth Prime.
