Brief Description:  Sec 48 Finishing step 3

The Will James Cowl arrived Thurs, looks like a good quality piece of workmanship. Unfortunately there is no mount to mount the engine on yet. the mount arrived @ Van's late Thurs. Got a call from Scott Risan, who said that my mount already had the modification, so the BPE CAS system oil sump is much larger than the stock Lycoming. they are making the modification today, and it will be returned next week. So i've got to figure uot how to stay busy. Today I removed the main gear fairings, and taped the fron halves w/ Saran Wrap as a release agent, then screwed both halves together and squeegeed in some Superfil to make a glose fit between the halves. Set them inside to cure overnight as it cool today (50). then worked on the main gear leg fairings, I recived some REALLY thin fiberglass tape from CST, I tried using John's rivet shaver in the countersink cage, but it didn't do much. I used some sandpaper on a block and sanded the rivets which hold the hinge in place flush, then put a single lay-up of this thin fiberglass tape over it. i'll let it cure overnight and doo the other side hinge rivets tomorrow.
