After reverifying that the nose fairing is aligned, I cut out the wheel opening in the bottom to provied the min 5/8" clearance around both halves of the fairing. Also cut out the 'relieve for the front portion of the fairing. I cut the 1" holes in the sides to allow for the tow bar, but I used a step drill and it appears to have wandered significantly on the left side. It will require a fiberglass patch and redrilling the hole to get it better aligned with the tow reinforcements. Next up was the process of match drilling prior to floxing in the pads. I learned from the mains that trying to drill through both the fiberglass and the brqcket at the same time doesn't work as the bracker bends way too much and you don't get aligned, instead I drilled through the fairing and only scored the bracket keeping the drill perpendiculat to the fairinf. Took the fairing off ang then drilled and tapped the brackets, This worked much better, and after mixing and applying flox to the inside portions I remounted the fairing and inserted some long #6 screws to hold it in place while it cures. I needed to 'squish' some extra flox into the upper bracket fkanges on the right side as there was a much larger gap than anywhere else (???). after it was all screwed together I clecoed on the front portion and checked the alignment with the centerline and it's right on the money vertically.
