Brief Description:  Sec 48-10 & Sec 48-11 Both Gear legs

Working on the gear intersection fairings. 1st off the plans instructions for locating point B on the gear leg fairing are just plain wrong. I finally figured out that the line they want to establish is a line that is parallel to the fuse axis, and through a series of trial and error, using the plumb bob, I was able to estabish a point on the step and the forward edge of the gear leg where both X & Y dimensions were equal AND the line between point A & B was level w/ the Fuse. the plans indicate that the lay-ups should be done on the legs - wet. !st off I used a haet gun to bend the original 2 play lay-up to fit snuggly against the pants. then I removed them and did the lay-ups on the bench, waited until the fiberglass was beginning to set up, then trimmed the excess 'flash' and placed them on the gear legs, with clecos and spring clamps to hold them tightly in place. Then I put the Halogen lights on them overnight to let them cure well and take their final set. Seems to have worked pretty well. Only now I've got another composite filling.sanding, finishing project to get these into final shape. I want to get them at least trimmed to teir final size and initial sanded before drilling for the nutplates.
