1st off I finally riveted the fuel selector attach plate to the angles. I left them clecoed, but need to clean them up to start on the center console. Then began to fabricate the center console. Lots of fiddeling around and not much progres to show. As its working out I'm going to create the foam cores is 3 pieces, 1. The portion directly under the instrument panel, 2. the section that surrounds the fuel selector, 3. the arm rest/map case/gloce box. I'm using some closed cell foam I got from Aircraft spruce, It's too hard working with the individual side pieces, so I made a box that was close to the size and shape, was using 5 min epoxy to join the pieces, but switched to bondo will be faster and just as good. Much easier to work with a 'cube' Got a good start on #1 section, should be able to finish the shaping of that section tomorrow and get a start on the next. This stuff is really messy, and I just got the garage all cleaned.....!!!! Oh well.
