Started on the Tailcone attach, I've been down with a whopper of a cold for the past week and 1/2. Didn't even want to work on the plane for several days. Think I've got it licked today. I've been a little intimidated about this section, as it is sort of a mojor event, and I expected some difficulty in alligning everything, Well it was much ado about nothing. Once again the match hole technology proves it's self, and although the major assemblies are built independently, miraculously ALL of the holes line-up. I helped Andrew Rayhall join his fuse and tailcone last week, And learned that as long as you have the 2 sections properly aligned they go together fairly easily. I built a QED support out of some scrap lumber to support the forward end, and then shimmed both ends to get the proper angle and height the rest was easy. (well mostly)
