Began the attachment of the Fwd Fuse ribs to the Firewall. 1st clecoed and match drilled everything in common, then dissassembled, deburred (edges and holes) dimpled appropriate places, and primed the ribs, then began to rivet the nutplates on and then the braces to the ribs and the nose gear attachment, The nose gear tension bracket gets 58 AN470-4 rivets! I put the Manufactured head on the part that will be visible in the cabin, but this makes it nearly impossible to get access to the 470-4-6 rivets that are the forward most of the series, theres' no way I can see to get even a double offset rivet set on them, I guess I could reverse this one row and put the manufactured head on the opposite side, but i'd rather not. I posted on Matronics to see if someone had a suggestion.
Fwd fuse ribs clecoed and Match drilled
The 50 470 4-5's went in fairly easily
Note the fwd most row of rivets yet to be set!?!?!
