Brief Description: Fixing the top skin riveting mistake
Fixing that mess was challenging. I had to remove about 80 rivets in order to get the skin free. Fortunately, I haven’t damaged the skin further while drilling out those rivets. After that, all the oversized holes were match drilled to #30 to accept the oops rivets.
One must note that oops rivets are not flat. They have that sort of a hump on top of it. However, once the rivet is set, it looks like that hump disappears. Besides, in order that get the rivet to sit properly in the hole, I used the deburr tool to “reshape” the dimple with just one turn of the handle.
The holes circled in red have been redrilled to #30 size
