Brief Description: Left Main Spar - Final nutplates
Today was a productive day. The left main spar nutplates are installed satisfactorily.
I’m saying this because I realize that I haven’t countersunk deep enough the holes to compensate for the “thickness” of the primer in those holes. The rivet was flush when dropped into a freshly cut hole but once the primer was in, the head of the rivet would stand proud out of the hole. I have only 3 nutplates installed that way. No big deal, this isn’t structural. The rest has been countersunk properly.
The right main spar has been prepared and is ready for nutplates riveting.
