Brief Description:  Paint Scheme

During the past few months, I have made A LOT of paint schemes - around 60 or so. With today’s computer power and with cheap or free software, you can let your imagination wander and play around with curves and color blends and it cost basically nothing. Although some were really nice and colorful, I’m not necessarily prepared to “disguise” my latest creation like a candy bar. Knowing how expensive an aircraft paint job could be, it better be a nice one.

I took my inspiration from roaming around on the web, comparing design tendencies from the big names (Cessna, Cirrus, Beechcraft) as well as those from specialized companies and naturally, the builder’s community. I wanted to have a scheme which will leave long so despite being a tad conservative it is also daring enough to stand out in a crowd. Being a Canadian, I’ve applied a grayed out version of the Canadian flag, similar to what one can see on the RCAF aircrafts. I’ve made a version with a symbolic heraldic lily (Quebec’s Fleur-de-Lys) and it is really something to see. The marks on the first one are now officially reserved and shall be appearing on the finished project.
