Drilled the balance of the attachment holes for top cowling panel. Stacked a 1.5 x .040 aluminum strip over the top two stiffeners, over which the hinge and top panel is placed. Then clamped in place and drilled. Started the task of fabricating the lower cowling panel. The firewal circumfrence was 62 inches and the nose bowl was 43 inches, nominal. Using some fibreglass sheeting as pattern material I made the first attempt at a layout. Long way to go.
