Brief Description:  Engine Cowling

Tonite, I pulled off the fixture set up and installed the prop and spinner bulkheads to check for good clearances for prop to cowl. Ended up with .850 at bottom and .750 at top. At the top there is a pertuberance in the cowl and that accounts for the 1/10 th of an inch.
Decided that I needed an access door on the underside of the cowl so I can get to sump and fuel servos without removing the cowl. So, Using some 4130 .032 I made some channels/stiffeners 1.25 wide to accept the hinge on one side and the camlocs on the other. I used this channel instead of the angle because I can create a very slight curve on the bottom cowl.
