Brief Description:  Engine Cowling

More time today spent on creating a jig to hold the cowl in place for attachment of the cowl stiffeners. Started over from scratch, found the Center Line of airframe to center of spinner bulkhead. Leveled entire airplane and clamped a 1 x 2 to the rear of the reversed spinner bulkhead and leveled. Then scribed a horizontal (leveled) line across the face of the cowl from the lower edge of the 1 x 2 and clamped to the cowl. Made fine adjustment to enusre that the radius of the bulkhead was equidistant all round. Tightened clamps and rechecked all measurements including from the cowl back to the firewall all around.
Next thing was to match drill the firewall flange and cowl lip to the stiffeners after carefully measuring so that each was laid parallel to the airframe and equidistant from the others. All looks very good.
