Brief Description:  Engine

Since I have dual electronic ignition, I have to have a second battery as a back up in the event that the main, much bigger, battery should fail. I bought a 12 lb Odyssey 535 batter to do this. I deceided to mount on the fire wall because it is about the only location it will fit and have convenient acces for charging. I made a drawing that allows for 1/4 clearance all around to allow some cushion material. So, I bought some .063 sheet steel and cut out the initial main piece. .063 is overkill. Should have used .050. Made the base to be welded to the main box, but decided to use some .050 for that.
Because I am adding about 13 lbs to the firewall, I made a 8 x13 plate from .070 3003 alum plate I had laying around. The plate will serve as a backer and will be attached to the vertical tube and the angle tube by 6 cushion clamps. This should tie the box into the steel tubing.
