Looking at the best way to attach the upper wing attach fairing or Canoe to the underside of the wing. I finally decided on this approach. I made 10 brackets from cutting in 1 inch lenghts 1 inch angle aluminum. I then reduced the angle to about 80 degrees to match the inside of the canoe. These brackets are then to be attached by a single countersunk screw from the inside of the tank cavity. I will then install a single nut plate on the vertical leg of each braket to match a drilled hole on the side of the canoe. This will leave the screw heads on the side of the canoe, but I wont have any issue issue of a screw or nut plate inside the cavity coming in contact with the tank and creating a leak.
