Brief Description:  Fabricating Baffle Seals

Cut baffle seal material to fit on each side baffle. Then cut seals for the rear baffle. Layed out and drilled mounting rivet holes in the baffles and deburred, then match hole drilled through the baffle seal material and clecoed the seals in-place.

Cut templates for the front seals out of poster board. Layed out rivet holes and drilled them into the front baffles and deburred. Adjusted the poster board templates, trimming and adding material with masking tape until I was satisfied they were right. Then used the poster board templates as patterns to mark and cut the seal material. Used McFarland Cowl Saver sheet material (also left over from the Grumman work).

Match hole drilled the front baffle seals and clecoed in place. Decided to use the 2 screws holding the bridge piece over the prop governor, plus one added screw and nut plate in the center of the bridge piece to hold the baffle seal material in this area. This will allow for future removal of the prop governor without having to drill out the baffle seal mounting rivets.

Started riveting the side baffle seals.
