Brief Description: Sanded Epoxy Filled Holes in Cowls
With the epoxy cured that was applied yesterday afternoon, sanded the top of the epoxy flush with the cowl surface. Used a random orbit sander first to take down the bulk epoxy build up. Then followed with hand sanding with a sanding block with 60 grit paper, and finally a sanding block with 100 grit paper.
I thought I could continue work by using the hinges provide for joining the sides of the cowls together to replace the damaged hinges, but found that the hinges provided for joining the sides together are not the same hinge as those used for mounting the cowls to the fuselage. So will need to wait until the ordered hinges arrive from Van's before proceeding with the cowl work.
