Brief Description:  Engine Mount Installation; Door Handles

Installed the VA-133 Oil Pressure hose and the CT A-740 Heater Control Cables and secured to the firewall with cushion clamps as called out in the plans. Had to drill the TG-10 vent boxes for the adell clamps as there was no hole provided. Also had to install a rivet into each to secure the flange of the box as there was one rivet missing on each box. Used a pulled #40 flat head rivet for this.

Installed a DG-4 size clamp on the aft side of the firewall to secure both cables, as the DG-3 called for in the plans was too small to hold both cables.

Safety wired the cables to the adell clamps installed on the top of the vent boxes to prevent the cables from moving in the clamps instead of moving the heater control valve flap. The method of installing the safety wire isn't called out in the plans, but I believe my routing should hold the cable.

Re-installed the engine mount to the firewall. Had to debur the end of the lower right center bolt hole in the mount in order to get the bolt to go through when installing it. Still need to torque these bolts and then secure them with cotter pins. My inch-pound torque wrench won't go high enough so I will need to get a 3/8" drive ft.-lb torque wrench to tighten these bolts.

Prepared the canopy door handle assemblies. I probably won't use this work as I intend to purchase low profile outside handles with locks from Aerosport Products, but prepared them anyway per page 45-09.

(Moved on to the door locks as I need to purchase adhesive to install the windows.)
