Brief Description:  Continued Left Panel Wiring Work

Continued to work on the left side of the panel. Connected the A/C compressor wire from the tail cone to the one run from the compressor with a crimp butt splice on the left side. Connected a couple of ground wires that run down the left side to the left side grounding connector plug. Added crimp ring terminals to a couple of large AWG ground wires to be connected to the left side grounding block using the screws that fasten the block to the left avionics shelf.

Decided that the wires running down behind the GTN 650 needed better protection from the sub-panel notched edge. Removed the GTN cage and attempted to fasten a wire protection "Caterpillar" edge using super glue. However, the super glue didn't hold. Purchased 5 min. JB Weld epoxy and used that to glue the edging in place, holding it in place with masking tape until the epoxy cured. Re-installed the GTN cage and wiring after allowing 2 hours for the epoxy to cure.

Wired the 3 light dimmer potentiometers by soldering #22 AWG wires to the pots. Decided to add a DB-9 connector to make the connection between the pots and the shielded cables running to the GAD 27, in order to make install/removal of the left panel inset frame easier.
