Stripped all the multi-conductor wires and soldered drain wires to the shields. Crimped micro pins to all of the wires and installed in the D-sub connectors. Added silicone tape and installed the back shells. Trimmed the drain wires, crimped on #8 ring terminals, and connected drains to the back shells. Installed the two connectors into the Back Plate for the GMA 245 rack.
Note: The screws proveded with the back plate were incorrect, as they have pan heads and the back plate is designed for flat head screws. Found the proper flat head screws in a separate back in the connector kit and will install the proper screws later when I remove the connectors from the back plate to install the wiring for the rear seat passenger headphones and microphone jacks. (Wires have already been run for these and is coiled in the area of the panel.)
