Brief Description:  Installing Breakers & ELT Control Head

Installed most of the circuit breakers and the associated bus bar into both panel breaker areas.
Determined that I didn't order the 15 amp breaker needed for the stobe lights.
Determined that the plugs needed to fill the 2 spare breaker holes should be 7/16" diameter. Found plugs on line at Granger and ordered for pick up at the Stafford store. (25 plugs for $1.80) Installed 2 of these plugs in the spare circuit breaker holes.

Used an VOM to determine the pin-outs for the panel switches. The series 30 are DPST with 2 additional terminals for the switch light. The 20 series provided for the Avionics Bus switch is a SPDT switch with 2 additional terminals for the switch light. For the Avionics Bus when the switch is in the Avionics On position, the relay coil will not be powered and the NC contact will be used to power the relay on when the Avionics Off position is selected. The relay is also SPDT and the NC contact from the relay will be used to power the Avionics bus when the switch is in the Avionics On position which will de-energize the relay. When the Avionics Power Off switch position is selected, the relay will be energized, causing the NC contact to be disconnected and interrupting power to the Avionics Bus.

Installed the battery into the ELT remote control, installed the horizontal label for the remote unit, and installed the remote unit into the control panel. Made a first entry in the aircraft log book documenting the battery installation and noting the battery best by date and need to replace the battery during a future condition inspection based on that date.

Temporarily installed the remaining 2 LRU trays to the panel.
