Brief Description:  Panel Installation

Unpacked shipment from ACS and put away cushion clamps, other hardware, and angle.

Opened very slightly the mounting holes on the panel back frame so that screws fit. Installed the panel back frame back into place, while confirming the screws will now fit and engage with plate nuts to secure the panel frame. Installed the panel to the mounted frame.

Temporarily installed the GTN650 navigator rack into the panel, with the back plate in the rack. Determined that it will fit without requiring the sub-panel be cut, however the control cable bracket attached to the sub-panel will need to be removed. (Since the control cables are being run on top of the tunnel cover and under the center console to the throttle quadrant, the cable bracket will not be used.) Will drill out the rivets holding the bracket in place the next time the panel & frame is removed.

Temporarily installed the audio panel rack into the panel with the 4 front screws. Installed the audiio panel into its rack and confirmed that it fit with the cut made to the angle brace. However, it will be a tight fit with the cable shell in place.

Determined the need for a brace to secure the rear of the audio panel rack. After considering several options, determined that using a single piece of 3/4" angle attached to the left side of the rack and then attached to the angle bracket with 23/32" stand-offs between the angle and the bracket should hold the audio panel properly. Constructed the stand-offs from AT6-058 x 5/16 tube. Installed nut plates to the 3/4" angle to match the 2 rear holes in the audio rack, drilled 2 holes at the back of the angle for attachment to the angle brace, and attached the angle to the rack. Installed the rack into the panel with the 4 front screws. Confirmed it was being help at the proper angle in the panel by installing the audio panel into its rack. Remove the audio panel. Using the angle drill, inserted the drill through the hole in the angle and through the stand-off and then match drilled a hole through the
