Brief Description:  Fabricated Bracket for Flap Position Sensor & Pull

Determined the best place to install the flap position sensor was on the outside of the fuselage, connected to the Flap Horn WD-1013-B. Decided to install it on the rights side since all of the avionics wiring is being run down that side of the aircraft.

Based on photos of another similar RV-10 installation on VAF, I developed a plan for a mounting bracket for the Ray Allen POS-12 linear potentiometer so that it will sit with the actuator arm centered on the outside face of the flap horm. Started with a paper version, and after some small dimension adjustments tried it with card board. Once confirmed, I marked the dimensions on a piece of 0.035 thick aluminum, cut it with snips, and bent it in the vice with a 2x4 wood block as backing. Drilled and deburred the mounting holes and then primed the bracket. Will install it after I obtain the right linkage from an RC Hobby shop.

Measured and cut all the avionics wires to be run from the panel to the tail cone. Bundled these wires and pulled them into a conduit running from the tail cone to mid-fuselage on down the right side. Will pull them into a second conduit running from this mid-point to the panel once the rear seat floor has been re-installed, since the conduit has to be routed through a hole in the seat floor cover.
