Brief Description:  Practiced Plexiglass Cutting

Using a damaged plexiglass top from an RV-8 (provided by Bill Slaughter who obtained it from Paul Dye for practice), tried making cuts of about 1 ft. using the Van's provided 3" Norton disks with a high speed air cut off tool from H.F.; a dremel tool with a 1.5" metal cutting abrasive disk, a dremel tool with a 2" diamond disk, and a dremel tool with a 1" H.F. diamond disk. Scraped each cut with a pair of scissors and then compared the results. Determined that the Dremel tool with the dremel 1.5" metal cutting disk works best for me with this material.

Decided to start with the wing tip light covers, as these will be much less costly to replace than the wind screen if I make a serious mistake.
