Received the overhead console from AeroSport Products on Monday. Removed the cabin fiberglass top from the fuselage and began the process of fitting the console to the top. Didn't get very far as no instructions were included with the overhead console.
Emailed with AeroSport Products and was provided some links to other builders' web logs for additional information on how to install the overhead console. Will need to purchase Lord 7545 adhesive to attach the console to the cabin top. Will also need to purchase the special Lord Applicator Gun to apply the adhesive, with the cost of the gun being more than the cost of a tube of the adhesive.
AeroSport is sending me leather, carpet and interior panel samples so that I can select interior colors in order to paint the interior to match. I intend to use Sherwin Williams Pro Industrial DTM Acrylic paint Product Number: B66W01251 based on good experiences of other builders on VAF with this very low VOC / toxicity paint, which can be color mixed by the Sherwin Williams paint shop.
