Brief Description:  Disconnected Tail Cone and Prepared for Riveting

Removed longeron bolts and all clecos holding tail cone to fuselage. Pushed fuselage forward from tail cone by about 12 inches to seperate.

Debured all holes drill on previous work session. Dimpled all parts as indicated in plans. Noted that some holes in the top flanges of the baggage ribs had not been dimpled by Van's QB team. Was able to dimple all but 2 holes on each side using the hand squeezer.

Riveted together the baggage area bulkhead.

Re-connected the tail cone to the fuselage. This was not an easy thing to do by myself. I got one side in place and inserted a single bolt into the longerons to hold that side in place, and then worked to get the other side to slide into place. This was difficult as the bottom tabs of the tail cone would drop below the fuselage skin, requiring they be moved apart again and then another attempt made to join them properly. After moving the saw horse that was under the back of the tail forward about a foot, was able to finally get the fuselage and tailcone back into the proper positions.

Used clecos to pull the skins and thereby bulkheads into position, moving from the bottom sides upward to the longerons, and then along the bottom. Once fully clecoed together, inserted the remaining 3 bolts into the longerons on each side and tightened them.

Ended the day ready to begin riveting the fuselage to the tail cone.
