Brief Description:  Moved Fuselage to Wharton Airport KARM

Moved the essentially finished fuselage to Wharton Airport (KARM) for attachment of wings and final connections today!

Fuselage was moved for me by Twin Cities Towing (281-935-1113). Christopher Anzaldua was the tow truck driver.

I installed the cowl before the tow truck arrived, taped up all the coax cables and other wires extending outside the fuselage, tape up the open tail section with a plastic garbage bag, to protect these areas from rain and wind during the drive to KARM.

Tried to remove the main gear fairing support pieces from the wheel bearing nuts, but the screws just turned inside the nuts. Managed to remove one but not the other. So the side rails were removed from the side of the truck to allow the support piece to fit.

The fuselage was tied down with straps around each wheel, around each main wing spar, 2 straps around the nose wheel, and one strap from the tail tie down eye. The fuselage rode well for the 35 miles from the shop to KARM.

Unloaded the fuselage at KARM and pushed it into Hanger B, owned by Henry Jetlina.
