Brief Description: Drill & Trim Stab Fairing, Drilling for Nutplates
Attached F-1094B Empennage Fairing on the tailcone/empennage assembly at the front using clecoes and clamps at the rear, after marking all of the holes to be drilled for nutplates with red Sharpie in an X. Then blind drilled #40 holes for each by sighting the red X through the fiberglass fairing.
Found that I installed 2 rivets (one each side) that should have been left open for fairing attachment, so drilled those out, reinstalled the fairing with clecoes and blind drilled those two holes in the fiaring. Counter sank the holes in the fairing for #6 flat head screws (AN507C632R8)
Marked the fairing for edge distances per the plans, removed it and trimmed it by cutting with a diamond wheel in the Dremel tool and then sanded to the lines.
Started drilling the left side for nutplate attachment rivets.
