Brief Description: Re-Install Rudder & Elev. Trim Cables
Re-installed the rudder to the vertical stabilizer. Found that it was rubbing on the right side at full deflection so had to remove it and adjust the bearings depth. Also found it was rubbing on the elevator attach bolts and so had to reverse 2 of the 4 sets of these so that the shallower heads of the bolts were on the rear side and then nuts/washers were on the forward side in order to provide the additional cleareance required by the rudder. Ended up installing and removing the rudder about 6 times before finally getting it properly positioned on the vertical stabilizer. Confirmed the 35 deg. of rudder travel on each side and tightened the jam nuts. Torque sealed all jam nuts and AN bolt nuts.
Re-installed the elevator trim cables through the horizontal stabilizer per the instructions.
