Brief Description:  Transponder Antenna. Heater SCAT tubing Install

Installed transponder antenna in hole drilled some time ago in the tunnel near the fuel selector valve. Installed RG-400 coax between the antenna and the GTX 45 transponder.

With the tunnel open, decided it was time to install the SCAT tubing between the firewall mounted heater valves and the heat outlet tees. I found that attaching the tubing to the valve outlets and to the front seat outlet tee was very difficult as these were vary far forward and hard to reach. Connections were made mostly by feel. Could not get a nut driver or screw driver into the space to tighten the hose clamps. Finally found that I could tape a short nut driver attachement to the hose clamp screw hex head with masking tape with the hose clamp outside of the tunnel. Then once the SCAT tube was in place with the hose clamp in position, I could place a small right angle screw driver handle over the shaft of the nut driver and tighten the hose clamp. Once tight, I could pull the nut driver off and the masking tape came with it. What should have been a hald hour job turned into a 4 hour challenge.

Should have installed the SCAT tubes before closing up the glare shield and adding the cabin top, when I could easily access this area of the tunnel.
