Brief Description:  Rear Headset Jacks, Audio Wiring Prep.

Installed the microphone and head phone jacks for both of the rear seats. The jacks are attached to the recess brackets previously cut into the side trim panels and painted. Used insulated washers on both sides of the jacks to isolate them from the aluminum brackets.

Soldered the wires previously installed to the jacks.

Installed the Fast-0n crimp wire terminals to the wires for the USB power receptacles for each rear seat. Insulated the terminals with heat shrink tubing to protect them from any possible contact with the fuselage side walls, using red tubing for the posiitive terminals and black for the negative terminals. Laced the rear seat wires with waxed lacing cord.

Drilled several 1/4" holes along the bottom of the sub-panel just above the flange to use with tie-wraps for fastening the main wire harness/bundle. Also drilled one at the front root of the right panel support angle to allow the bundle to be routed above the avionics tray and around the top of the transponder cage.

Decided that the connector wires for the GTN 650 needed to be run over the top of the rack rather than the side, so removed the rack, moved the wires to fitt through the notch in the sub-panel, and re-installed the rack. Adjusted the main bundle and attached it to the sub-panel with tie-wraps.

Prepared the cables to the rear seat head set jacks and for the speaker for installation into the DB plugs for the audio panel. Stripped the outer insulation and shields, soldered drain wires to the shields, covered the soldered connections with heat shrink tubing. Crimped DB pins to each of the wires for installation into the audio panel plugs.
