Brief Description:  GTR 20 and GTX 45R Wiring

Wired the GTR 20 (Com 1) Connector P2001 and the GTX 45R (Transponder & ADS-B) Connectors P3252 and P3251.

GTR 20 wiring required installation of 2 diodes for power supply isolation since this radio can be powered from the avionics bus or the IBBS battery backup. Used butt splice connectors to connect the diodes to the incoming wires and the wire to power input. Left the CAN BUS wiring connections to be made after the panel harness is assembled in the panel in order to keep the CAN BUS wires as short as practical (instead of running them to the back main harness bundle).

Completed wiring of both GTR 45R connectors. Had a minor problem with the pins not wanting to lock into the P3251 connector. Found that by using the insertion/removal tool to push the pins deeper they locked in.

Added a drain wire to the soldered shield wire on the provided USB cable for the GTR 45R. This allowed it to more easily reach the back shell drain connector. Attached both connectors to the rack back plate.
