Brief Description:  Lower Cowl Bump-Outs

Removed the bump out fiberglass form created on Monday. Turned the cowl over and cut the foam (still held in place with packing tape) along the cowl cut opening using a straight burr in the Dremel tool. Removed the remaining foam pieces from the cown and cleaned the foam and cowl.

Trimmed the fiberglass bump out edges and cleaned off the packing tape and the mold release from all surfaces.

Glued the foam outer pieces into the inside of the fiberglass bump out using Epoxy/Cab-o-sil mix. The foam should help strengthen the bump out and help provide a sealed edge at the cut-out hole in the cowl. Filled the corigated paper center of the cowl edge cut with a stiff mixture of epoxy/micro to help seal it.

Sanded the fiberglass/epoxy bump-out for the mixture control arm that was glued to the cowl on Monday. Applied a stiff mixture of epoxy/micro over this bump out and partially smoothed it, in order to prepare it for smoothing and contouring.
