Brief Description:  Left Inlet Ramp Fitting and Front Baffles

Trying to fit the left inlet ramp baffle. With the air conditioner compressor in this area, there is a lot of trimming and fitting required.

Started the day by removing the inlet ramp and removing and re-installing the compressor that was out of position at the end of the day Friday after removing and re-installing it. Shorted the compressor brace arm a small amount and re-installed and tightened the belt idler pulley. Compressor is back in its proper place.

Determined that the inlet ramp required additional trimming in the slot cut Friday to fit over the compressor brace arm. Also had to trim excessively the opening in the front baffle to fit around the prop governor. Took several tried before finally getting it to fit. Had to removed the governor control cable bracket in order to get the baffle into place. Had to trim the front of the front baffle to avoid the compressor belt. Also had to trim the lower bracket of the front baffle to fit to the inlet ramp. Took several tries before removing enough of the baffle to finally fit into place.

Match drilled the mounting holes on both left and right front baffles to the corresponding inlet ramps. Removed the inlet ramps and front baffles and deburred. Riveted the front right baffle to the right inlet ramp per the drawings, squeezing the rivets.

Installed nut plates to the left inlet ramp for connecting the front left baffle to the left inlet ramp. Riveted them in place. Installed the Vent DL-03 with inlet screen, riveting it to the left inlet ramp but leaving one rivet hole open per the plans. Squeezed 2 of the rivets but had to drive one as it was out of reach of the squeezer. Held the bucking bar in the vice, placed the ramp in place on top of the bucking bar and drove the rivet.
