Cleaned up the edges of the oil door, removing excess fiberglass placed over the foam stiffener yesterday. Applied a small amount of epoxy to a couple of corners that didn't fully bond, and clamped with binder clips.
Installed the bottom cowl support bracket and splice plate F-10108A & F-10108B temporarily to the bottom firewall flange. Had to drill out the rivet (improperly installed by Quick Build) and then drill out to #19 per plans. Aligned with the nose gear leg and marked position onto the bottom cowl per plans. Removed the bottom cowl and support bracket.
Match drilled the splice plate holes in the bottom cowl per the plans. Trimmed the aft edge of the cowl scoop even with the end of the splice plate support bracket.
Clecoed louvers and the splice plate and drilled louver holes and nutplate screw holes per plans. Removed louvers and drilled holes for the ends of the louver slots using a step drill. Cut the louver slots using a diamond disk on the Dremel tool, then sanded the slots flush with #60 sandpaper glued to a paint stir stick.
Smoothed the air inlet ramps to the top cowl where glued yesterday using a thick epoxy/micro mix.
