Brief Description:  Install Interface Fairings on Main Gear

Set proper angle on gear fairings, and then aligned the interface fairings with the gear fairing and drilled mounting holes through the lower interface fairing into the wheel fairing and through the upper interface fairing into the bottom of the fuselage.

Removed the wheel fairings and installed nut plates for the screws to hold the interface fairings.

Drilled out the bad nut plate on the left wheel fairing (joining the two fairing halves). Damaged the fairing holes for the nut plate, so epoxied 2 strips of fiberglass over the holes from the inside of the fairing to repair the holes. (Placed packing tape over the holes on the outside for a smooth finish on the flange for mating the two halves.

Removed the nose gear fairing. Removed the left side mounting bracket from the rear half to repair the mounting screw that pulled through the fairing. Placed packing tape into the inside bracket mounting surface, mixed up epoxy-flox and filled all 4 mountng holes in the fairing.

Re-installed lifting slings to get ready to lift the fuselage off of the workbench on onto the gear tomorrow.
